SXR Music Group Suspended on Meta

Since September 7, 2024, SXR Music Group's accounts have been wrongfully suspended without clear explanation, due to an issue Meta's system flagged but remains unaccounted for. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter, including outreach from our distributor, there has been no activity in our favour, leaving us without answers or access.

Our accounts have been active on Meta since 2007, during which time we have invested significantly in advertising, video production, and music production to promote our business, catalog, and artists. This wrongful suspension has not only disrupted our operations but also wasted substantial financial investments, as we’ve been unable to benefit from ongoing campaigns.

I’ve fought tirelessly at every level—appealing to the Danish Competition & Consumer Authority, reaching out to The Oversight Board in the UK, starting a petition on MoveOn.org, engaging with local D.U.P and S.O.M., some of the independent music associations we are members of, and spreading our message across Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging Web3 platforms. I’ve also pushed our music distributor, posted on our website, and wasted countless hours battling Meta’s nonexistent customer support. Yet, nothing has changed. This is corporate irresponsibility at its peak, and we are not alone—many others are ready to demand accountability.

We’ve done nothing wrong. Instead of supporting small independent publishers, these giant corporations are tearing us down. Their systems, designed to protect copyright owners, are failing miserably. This is nothing short of a scandal!

With multiple new releases scheduled and artists depending on our promotional efforts, the suspension has severely impacted their careers and damaged our reputation among industry partners. Being shut out of the platform during such a crucial time has resulted in both financial losses and long-term harm to our relationships within the music industry.
