The love for reggae music really hit me in my very early teens as my older brother gave me the ’The Front Line’ compilation on LP, released on Virgin Records in 1976, for my birthday. I was only 15 years old and instantly fell in love with Uroy's 'Natty Rebel'. The summer of 1976 was scorching hot, with memories of boiling asphalt roads and massive wood fires. Bob Marley were dominating the reggae scene back then. Reggae music was huge, and our community dancing parties were always filled with reggae tunes, weed smoke, under the stars. |
